Challenge # 9: It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Only 27 days to go until the man in the big red suit appears!

Think you can guess this week's theme, but before we chat about it, here's last week's Top 4. Yep, a Top 4 ... we couldn't decide. It was just too hard. Everyone who submitted work did so well, vintage didn't stump too many!

In no particular order, congrats to:

Fran
Vicki B
Kim N
Katherine

Email us using the link or leave your email contact details in the comments section and we will get your Top 3 logo to you.

Now this week's theme :

Christmas

Not much to add about that theme, except have fun!

Okay, here's what the Design Team created.

Challenge # 8: Vintage Look

Hey everyone, how's your weekend going? In Australia this week, it has been really really hot on one coast, cold and raining on the other .... who would have thought summer starts in one week!

The heat must have affected everyone last week, we were down on submissions, but those that could join us did such an amazing effort. And it looks like "Matey" is the set to own for boy cards! A big thank you to everyone who took part, the design team had a blast checking blogs.

On to the top three - it was a hard one this week, because every card was so different and some of the ideas were outstanding..... but, here goes:

Debbie P
Tasha
Fran

Thank you ladies, I am in the process of putting together a prize image for you to put on your blogs ~ so send me an email and I will send it back to you.

Now, boy cards seemed easy enough .... this week we are throwing a challenge out to you. Not everyone is comfortable about the 'Vintage' look, but it's the best one for anything goes. There is no right or wrong way with the vintage look.

So this week, your project needs to be inspired by Vintage Style. Here's what the design team came up with:

Think lots of inking and distressing, lace, ribbons and stitching ... or you could follow Tracey's lead and use some vintage styled papers and great tags and flowers.

Have fun .... can't wait to see what you all come up with!

Challenge #7: Boy Cards

Good morning everyone. It is Tracey and this is my first post so you will have to forgive me if I make some mistakes. Hope you all had a wonderful week last week. We are being wowed by all you beautiful creations - the entries for the colour challenge were all gorgeous.

Before we get to this weeks challenge we need to say a Congrats to this weeks Top 3 - in no particular order.
  • Joni
  • Mary Rivera
  • Awilda
Congratulations ladies - all your entries were wonderful.

This week we have a hard one for you - are you ready....????

Boys Cards

I must admit that boy cards are always difficult for me to do but we are hoping that you find inspiration in our creations and have a go.

Here is what the DT came up with:

Don't forget to share the love and let us know what you think of our creations.

Just a quick note to let those with Flickr accounts know that Marcia and I don't have accounts thus the lack of comments on your creations. At this stage we won't be signing up but may look at it in the future.

Challenge # 6: Blue and Orange

Good morning everyone, did you get a Sunday sleep in? Sunday's mean another great challenge here at Anya Ink and we think it's about time we cut you some slack ... the last two weeks challenges have tested the brain matter, this week we have something a bit easier for you.

But before we share the challenge for this week, please join us in congratulating our Top 3 from last week's Paper Tole challenge:

  • Debbie
  • Jessica
  • Fran

Congratulations - we were blown away with everyone's entries, especially knowing that we asked alot of you all.

Now this week, something easier:

To use blue and orange in your creation

You can bring those colours in however you like, but they are your predominant colours. You can use other colours, but we want to see lots of blue and orange.

This week also sees our new DT members joining us ... Yanitza and Tammy. Unfortunately, Tammy is away for a couple of weeks, so we will keep you in suspense on her contributions for a bit longer.

Edit: Tammy made it, yay! I've added her in below.

Welcome to Our New DT Members ...

Yes, I did say members .....

Tracey and I had such a hard time choosing who to ask join us, the amount of work put in over the last four weeks has blown us away. So we chose two!

We have asked the following ladies to join us and they have shouted yes. So please welcome Yanitza and Tammy to the Anya Ink team.

For those who missed out at this point, don't panic. In coming weeks we will start looking for people to join in as a guest designer, which is a great opportunity to showcase your efforts.

The hardest part about all of this, is we know some people will be disappointed (we know, we've definately been there) so guest designing is a great way to share what talent is out there.

Thank you again to those who submitted work this last month, without you, this blog wouldn't continue growing as it has been.

Take care and hope your Paper Tole challenge pieces are coming together nicely.

Challenge # 5 : Paper Tole

Anya Ink is running late - it was scheduled, but got deleted by accident last night while adding our top 3 and then a migraine stepped in to defeat the deadline. I'm so sorry, but here it is.

Last week's efforts were stunning as usual, a great variety. The curveball we threw didn't stump too many people and it was nice to see everyone's interpretation. So our top 3 from last week in no particular order, were:
  • Fran
  • Victoria
  • Emma

Congratulations everyone who took part, it was a hard decision.

Now also this last week, everyone who entered was in the draw to win a stamp of their choice. Well Random.org have drawn a winner and it is:

Photobucket

Congratulations Vivian F, please send me an email and I will let you know how to claim your prize.

Now onto this week's challenge - you will need patience and a good pair of paper snips. This week we are asking you to create a card using the technique Paper Tole. It's not as hard as it sounds, it is adding layers to your card to creat a 3D look to your image. There is definately no right or wrong way to do it, just as much patience as you can muster.

Here are our efforts, with close ups to show how we created our paper tole creations!

Now to photograph your efforts, take as many photos as you need and make sure you have some great lighting!

We are now off to work out from all the fab entries over the last month who will join our Anya team. I'll pop a blog post here during the week to make the announcement.

Have a great week and we look forward to seeing your work.

Anya Ink: Challenge # Four

Phew, what a week it has been, finally spring is starting to appear here in Australia. The weather has been magic and it's so pleasant to see the birds, bees and bugs all making noise outside.

Last weeks entries were so varied it was a treat to open each link and have a look. There were some wonderful creations and projects. Thank you to everyone who took part, we really appreciate you taking the time to join in.

Our Top 3 was a hard choice, Tracey and I had a good discussion about who was going to be in there. I like it when it is hard to choose, shows the efforts everyone have gone to. So without rambling anymore, here are last weeks Top 3:

  • Margreet vd B
  • Vivian F
  • Fran

Congratulations.

Now onto this weeks challenge ........... are you ready for a curveball?

This week is a Recipe Challenge, on your creation you are required to use:

Two different ribbons, any number of circles and staples

Sounds easy enough, but I know I had to think about it. Let's see how your creative minds think and we're excited to see what you all come up with.

And as an added incentive, someone will win a free single TGF stamp from the Stamp Spot. We'll use Random.org to pick a winner, who will get to head over to the Stamp Spot and choose from the TGF range one stamp (no sets included, only singles). This includes everyone, even those outside of Australia.

Here's what we came up with:

Over this next week Tracey and I will be looking at all the entries from this week and the last three to make a decision on who we would like to invite onto the Design Team. So this week is your last week to wow us! Please make it hard for us to choose, we'd love for you all to do that to us!

Have a great week, happy creating!!
